Last week, we were approved to be adoptive candidates! YES! YES! to our dossier!
We are now awaiting travel dates to go and get our sweet boy!
Our son's birthday is this month. He has spent 10 birthdays without a family. And we really thought we would be traveling around his birthday, but we will not be there in time. So we are sending some money to a dear friend in Ukraine who will help facilitate a birthday party for our boy and the kids at 50! We are so so excited to see pictures and know that he, and the kids, thoroughly enjoyed their day!
We are getting near the end. And we have been battling at every turn. God is faithful to us. He is. Battling is never fun. But God has been teaching me that being thankful, and praising in the midst, is what faith is about. Doing exactly opposite of what I FEEL like doing. Because what I feel like doing (and do often) is complain.
"Jesus, this isn't the right time at ALL to be battling" or "Lord, Im doing something for YOU, so clearly I need to be perfectly happy and not struggling with anything, right?"
But it seems God is working with me, in some of the hardest moments in my life, and He is still walking with me through it, only and completely by His grace.
Our finances to travel are slowly but surely coming. Every donation has been a miracle. We are not there yet, but this is one area I am really standing on the fact that He will provide! There are so many testimonies of His faithfulness to the orphan, that I know He will not stop with our son's ransom.
He will do it, because He loves us, and He loves our boy. Just like He will ransom me from my battles, because He loves me, and He has promised me complete victory.

He ransoms me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me. Psalms 55:18
